About Randy "Rock" Johnson
E-Mail Randy "Rock" Johnson at randyrock@wtparock.com

Hey all!! Thanks for checking out my bio. I'm a proud Buffalo NY native who is a long suffering Sabres and Bills fan. Growing up I went to seventeen schools in five states, including six high schools in five states. The high schools are, in order: Allderdice High-Pittsburgh PA, Bedford High-Bedford OH; Pontiac Central-Pontiac MI; LaSalle High-Niagara Falls NY; Robert E Lee High-Jacksonville FL (the same high school that the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd attended); John Marshall High-Rochester NY. After getting a communications degree from Albion College in Albion MI, I began my first of three runs at WTPA in August 1991. I've also worked country (briefly), traffic and sports radio and have worked in the Harrisburg, York, Baltimore MD and Washington DC markets. I also enjoy my side gig working for the Hershey Bears Radio Network. I think KISS is the greatest rock band of all-time, Ric Flair the greatest wrestler and LA Dodgers' play-by-play dude Vin Scully the greatest sportscaster. I also root for the Baltimore Orioles and for Notre Dame football. I most enjoy being home with my girlfriend Melissa, who constantly takes on-air abuse from me, along with our wiener dog Dino and hockey-watching cat Poppy.
